Neskonlith Hills west of Chase is the place to see an abundance of spring wild flowers while enjoying an exceptional view of the village and Little Shuswap Lake. The property belongs to the Adams Lake Band and hikers need to get a permit through the office at 679-8841.

After crossing the bridge over the South Thompson River, the paved road turns left (south) and this is followed until there the fork in the road. Take the gravel road to the right and wind up into the hills. There will be several places to stop the car to take in the view.;

Neskonlith Pow Wow

Neskonlith Pow Wow takes place Saturday, Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23. This annual First Nation’s celebration includes dancing, singing, crafts, food concessions and traditional foods, such as bannock. The grand entry takes place at noon on both days. Mayfest Jamboree

Mayfest Jamboree is an annual weekend of square and round dancing taking place May 1 and 2 at the Chase Community Hall. This is the 30th annual square dance weekend and the eighth time it has been held in Chase. Some of the dancers bring their RV’s and camp at the Lions Mill Park site or at the curling rink parking lot while others commute. The public is welcome to watch at no charge.
