Late Summer Getaways Celebrating the Arrival of Autumn
The last few weeks of summer are upon us. While we lament the waning of early morning warmth and the evening’s light, there’s an energy afoot which belies the loss of summer. The arrival of fall this month signals a time of harvest and beauty throughout the entire province and indeed around the country.
In the vein of celebrating good food and great wines, we’ll explore the bounty of the Okanagan with fabulous escapes to places like the new Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos. We’ll check out neighbouring wineries and farms, and take in a house boating journey on Shuswap Lake too.
‘Getaway BC’ is two-sided. Seeking out unique getaways right here in British Columbia, it is also inviting BC residents to explore beyond the immediate backyard of their spectacular province. Heading to Ontario and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival – where should you originally hail from Toronto or nearby hubs, you’ll know this is one cool getaway. And, Christopher Plummer is positively inspiring in The Tempest!
Also kicking off the new month is a holiday at Cathedral Mountain Lodge near Field, BC. While the Lodge’s season will soon be over, you can still book right up to the first weekend in October this year. This is one special getaway…especially if you’re fond of the outdoors and the comforts of a luxury cabin. Best of all? We’ve got a two night giveaway running for most of September. Enter online at WIN A TRIP…right here, at getawaybc.com.
