Hurrah for Canada – I can’t stop believing! Congratulations to Canada’s athletes, media outlets, volunteers and the team at Vanoc for their delivery of the outstanding Winter Games!   Now it’s time to look to the Paralympics which run from March 12 to 21 in Vancouver and Whistler.  Proud as ever,  my daughter and her beau will yet again be Victory Medal and Flower Bearer Hosts during this history making period in British Columbia.  This time, they both will be located in Whistler and are excited to share a getaway feature on what’s happening during this exciting time.

March will see us travel to Vancouver Island for a spring renewal getaway to Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa near the Comox Valley.  We’ll head out to Tofino and Ucluelet to source out the arrival of spring and continue to share delicious recipes from around the province in our Edible Getaway section.

Our twice monthly contests are showcasing Sakinaw Lake Lodge on the Sunshine Coast and Kingfisher Oceanside Resort on Vancouver Island – two fabulous getaways worth checking out even if you don’t enter, or win the contest!
