Camping – Elk Falls (Quinsam)
Friday, June 12th, 2009 by GetawayBC.com
Elk Falls Provincial Park’s Quinsam campground is close to everything but feels private and isolated. The campground is five minutes from downtown, yet it seems like you’re kilometres away in the wilderness thanks to the beautiful Quinsam River running alongside (giving many campsites river frontage) and the lush forest that it’s embedded in. From this scenic setting you can explore the Campbell River area while staying in your RV or tent. If you’ve brought a boat with you, you can fish for salmon in the nearby Discovery Passage or you can select your favourite fly rod and cast into the Quinsam or the adjacent Campbell River. Swimming in the Quinsam is popular, tubing the Campbell is a blast and camping at Elk Falls Park is delightful.;
