Wineries, distillery blossoming in Comox Valley

The Land of Plenty keeps adding new taste experiences – the Shelter Point Distillery is working toward producing Vancouver Island’s first single-malt whisky, made from barley grown at its Oyster River site.
They are looking at other products for the shorter term such as a cream liquor, and a fruit-infused alcohol made with berries also grown on their property, the former UBC Research Farm.
